Post Registration FAQ

Q: What’s the Board doing?
A:
Immediately after the last registration date, your Region Board begins the process of putting the teams together for the upcoming season. Teams will be determined by early August.

Q: What about Uniforms?
A:
We will be ordering uniforms based on the sizing that was entered during the registration process. You will receive your uniforms during practice from your coach as soon as they arrive.

Q: When do the coaches get their teams?
A:
Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters via email and/or at the Coaches meeting early August.

Q: When do the players get called?
A:
The coaches will call their players by mid August. They will give you all the information you will need in regards to practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location. The practice fields are located throughout East Tucson. Teams may begin practice on or after mid August.

Q: It’s after mid-August, and my child has not been called. What do I do?
A:
Please do not panic if your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. The very young teams, in particular, do not always begin practice the first week of the season, as some coaches may be out of town. If your child has not been called by mid August, you may email 153 Regional Commissioner and we will help you.

Q: What else does my child need?
A:
The registration fee includes: complete uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) supplemental accident insurance, team and individual pictures. In addition, you may need to obtain cleats, shin guards, a soccer ball (size depends on age) and a water bottle.  Shin guards are mandatory for participation.

Q: How often are practices and games?
A:
Practices are held once or twice a week (field and times to be determined by your child’s coach). Games will be on Saturdays with the first game will be late August. Games and practices will be held at a field in East Tucson. Game fields for some in the older divisions may be throughout Tucson.

Q: Refund?
A: Players withdrawing prior to registration closing will be issued a full refund minus uniform fees. After season start please reference Region Refund Policy. All requests for a refund must be submitted in writing.

Q: How do I stay informed?
A:
Email and Text is the most used communication for AYSO. Best way to stay connected is to monitor the email address entered into your profile and to ensure the cell phone number entered can receive text messages. Additionally you can follow us on Facebook.
